VINCENTIAN ANIMATION
Centre for Vincentian Animation (CVA) is an endeavour under the Vincentian Generalate to promote the spirituality of St. Vincent de Paul among the members of the Vincentian Congregation as well as among those who are interested in it. At present Fr. Varghese Chiraparamban is the appointed director and Rev. Frs. Varghese Perinchery VC and Mathew Pothalil VC are the members. Rev. Fr. Michael Kareekunnel is the Council-in-charge.
Present Activities of CVA are the Following:
01. To publish books on St. Vincent and his spirituality.
02. To print and distribute novena books on St. Vincent in English and Malayalam.
03. To keep up the library of CVA with books on St. Vincent de Paul and his spirituality at the Generalate, Edappally.
04. To conduct De Paul Quiz competitions: for the teachers and students of De Paul schools in Kerala; for Sunday school students, VC seminarians etc. Cash prizes, certificates and medals also are given to the winners.
05. To conduct De Paul Essay Competition for the college students.
06. To distribute De Paul Literature Kit to the libraries and individuals, containing 14 books at a reduced rate of Rs. 500/.
07. To take classes and to write articles on Vincentian spirituality as per the request.
08. To give talk on Vincentian Spirituality during the annual retreats arranged for members of Vincentian Congregation in Kerala.
09. To help to prepare Monthly Recollection thoughts to be printed and distributed to the members of Vincentian Congregation.
10. To encourage the members of Vincent de Paul Society to do more charitable works and thus to spread the spirituality of St. Vincent de Paul.
