De Paul Bhavan Vindhyanagar is established at the special request of the NTPC Management to cater value based education to its employee’s wards. De Paul Bhavan came into existence on 24th June, 1984 officially. On 25th June, 1984, Rev. Fr. Antony Kakkanat, the regional superior offered Holy Mass. De Paul School was formally inaugurated on 27th June, 1984 by the then General Manager of NTPC, Vindhyachal. Fr. Paul Kottaram took charge as the Principal together with the Sisters of Hand Maids of Mary (HM) as collaborators in the parish and school ministry. On July 5th 1984, Most Rev. Bp. Abraham Mattam, bishop of Satna Diocese blessed the residential quarters allotted to the priests and sisters by the NTPC.  De Paul School is the pioneer school in the township and is well known for its discipline and value based education. The school is affiliated to CBSE Delhi. Fr. Martin Valiyaparambil is the present Principal.

Gradually the number of catholic employees increased and the need for church was eminent and the land was given to us for a common church as per the policy of the NTPC Management.  The Committee was formed under the president ship of the Principal of the De Paul School and Rev. Fr. George Jose Vembilly, the Parish Priest and Principal laid the foundation stone for the Holy Cross Church on 14th September 1992. The Holy Cross Church was blessed on 3rd January, 1999. This is an ecumenical Church that other Christian denominations too use the church for worship. The Church is under the care of the Principal of De Paul School as he is the president of the Holy Cross Church Committee. St. Vincent’s Church has its own Parish council to manage the activities. The Belfry with 101 kg. bell was constructed under the guidance of the then parish Priest, Fr. Martin Valiyaparambil and blessed on 11th October, 2012 by him.

De Paul School runs a non formal education centre in the workers colony (Simplex Colony) outside the township. 80 students are doing the studies there at present. There is a small catholic community too and their spiritual needs are taken care by the parish priest.  This Vincentian house is at the boarder of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and also the border parish in the Satna Diocese.
