HISTORY AND PRESENT ACTIVITIES
When Vincentian Congregation took up the Ahmednagar mission, Yeloa which is in Nasik district was not a part of the Mission. The spiritual needs of the faithful of Yeola were fulfilled by a priest from Nasik. The distance from Nasik to Yeola is 85 kilometers while it is only 20 kms from Kopergaon to Yeola. Therefore, this centre was entrusted to Ahmednagar mission and Fr. Thomas Mullanmadackal who was staying at Srirampur took the responsibility of the pastoral care of the faithful of Yeola in December 1992. As in Kopergaon, Yeola also the Holy Mass was celebrated in the houses of faithful.
When we established a residential centre at Kopergaon in September 2001, Fr. Paul Tharakan continued his service at Yeola by staying in Kopergaon. Since Kopergaon had no institution attached to it, the Provincial administration headed by Fr. Varghese Parappuram thought of starting a school in the vicinity. Accordingly the Province bought five acres of land at Yeola on November 29, 2002. In the scholastic year 2003-04 we hired a building at Yeola and started the LKG class. The Priest in charge at Kopergaon and the Bro. Regent daily went over there to supervise the activities. We bought an additional three and a half acres of land as an extension of the existing plot of land on 5th February 2004.
The foundation stone for the new KG building at Yeola was blessed on April 10, 2004 by Rev. Fr. Paul Tharakan. A temporary building in the shape of a farm house covered by asbestos (tin) sheets was made within three months. The Mission Superior Rev. Fr. Sebastian Pandarathikudiyil blessed this building on 12th June 2004. Thus the new scholastic year started accommodating there both LKG and UKG students. There were sufficient children to take admission in our school in the very beginning years itself.
Fr. Paul Tharakan along with regent started staying in Yeola on 6th June 2004 onwards for executing the daily activities of the school. The temporary Vincentian house at Yeola was blessed by the Mission Superior Fr. Sebastian Pandarathikudiyil on 11th June 2005. In the same year Sisters from Adorers of Precious Blood Congregation started their new community in Yeola in order to help us in the school.
As the classes and number of students were increasing a new building was needed. On 2nd September 2007 the foundation of the new school building was laid by Mission Superior Fr. Sebastain Pandarathikudiyil. In June 2008, Fr. Joseph Chalackal took the charge of Vice Principal and Bursar. The new school building was blessed and inaugurated by the Provincial Superior, Fr. James Kallumnkal on 14th June 2008. Then the primary section of the school was shifted to the new building. The construction of the new building continued till 2010. Thus we could complete ground floor and one wing of first floor by this time. Meanwhile on 15th February 2009 the Mission superior Fr. Thomas Neerolickal laid the foundation for the staff quarters and was blessed by Mar Thomas Elavanal, Bishop of Kalyan in October 2009 which was set apart for the stay of sisters. By August 2011, the construction of the second wing of first floor of school building was completed.
In 2013, the construction of the new Vincentian House was started and on 19th January 2014 the House was blessed by Very Rev. Fr. Varghese Parappuram, the Superior General and was inaugurated by Very Rev. Fr. Paul Puthuva, the Provincial Superior.
